Confidentiality and Privacy Policy – iscs sentinel

This section is dedicated to our Privacy and Confidentiality Policy for the iscs sentinel mobile application. The iscs sentinel app gives you access to services linked with the products in the connected range: security and comfort in the home. Personal Data protection is a matter of trust, and your trust is important to us. All the processing of Personal Data concerning you is carried out in line with the legal provisions applicable in this respect. Below you will find information on how we gather and use your data. SCS Sentinel acts as the data controller for your Personal Data.

Which data are gathered?

When a person uses iscs sentinel services, the company SCS Sentinel may collect their Personal Data. These data are processed according to the purposes for which they were collected. They are stored in conditions designed to ensure their security and confidentiality.

The data we may collect may include what are known as “Personal Data”, in that they enable you to be identified as a specific person. In particular, we collect your email address, your full name, an optional user photo, the address of the installation location, the list of products declared in the app and their configuration, their photos, scenes and a list of the products shared.

When are your Data collected?

We collect your email address when you create your user account. The other personal data indicated in the paragraph above are gathered when products are added and configured in the mobile app, and during its use.

For what purposes are your Data used?

The data collected are required to manage the services. The data are not used for other purposes.

Are your Data shared with third parties?

The publisher of the software solution and its partners may access the app’s management data to ensure its proper functioning (your email address, list of declared products, scenes and list of products shared).

Hosting your Personal Data

The application’s management data are stored on secure servers in France and Germany. The video files are recorded locally on the connected cameras, and are kept for a period limited by the equipment’s storage capacity.

Confidentiality of your Personal Data

To guarantee the confidentiality of your personal data, all exchanges between the app and the server are encrypted via HTTPS with required authentication. Your password is encrypted and stored in a database. When creating your account, a validation mechanism is used to check your identity.

The recorded videos of connected cameras can be viewed via the iscs sentinel app. It is also possible to watch a live streamed video. The solution owner can manage product sharing with others from the app.

Your rights

Pursuant to the Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access, rectify, delete and oppose the data concerning you held by SCS Sentinel. The iscs sentinel app allows you to modify your username, reset your password, and add, modify or delete declared products.
